What's not allowed

• Strict dress code: Sleeveless and/or low-cut garments, shorts above the knee, miniskirts, and hats are not permitted.

• It is prohibited to consume food and drinks inside the Vatican Museum. These must be left in the cloakroom for the duration of the visit.

• Due to venue restrictions, pets cannot tag along for this experience except guide dogs for the blind or partially sighted, provided they are equipped with a muzzle and lead.

• Shutterbugs take note: Photography is not permitted inside the Sistine Chapel. Flash photography is strictly forbidden inside the Vatican Museum. The use of tripods, stands, drones and/or professional equipment is not allowed.

• All guests must pass through a thorough security check and metal detectors. Make sure you are not carrying any knives, umbrellas, weapons, glass bottles, aerosol, alcohol, bicycles, skates, segways, large bags, and selfie sticks.

• The Vatican Museums offer free tickets for visitors with mobility impairments (with certified invalidity exceeding 74%). In the case of visitors lacking in self-sufficiency, free entry is extended to their companions.

• Please note: All guests must pass through airport-style security. During high season and peak hours, the wait time at the security check may be up to 30 mins.

• Once you are through the security check, you can tuck your luggage in the Vatican cloakroom for free.

• Since complete silence is to be observed within the walls of the Sistine Chapel according to the rules of the Vatican, the guides will provide you with information about the site outside the Chapel. Visitors are to maintain silence within the Chapel as well.

• Purchasing this tour implies an agreement to stick with the assigned guide. Adding external guides post-purchase isn't allowed. Access to Vatican Museums requires the assigned guide. Opting out means losing tour and ticket rights, without refunds.

• On rare occasions, the Sistine Chapel closes without notice. If this happens, you will spend your full tour diving into the depths of the Vatican Museums.
